Full Time (Monday-Friday), occasional weekends as required.


Work under the direction of the adoptions department Inventory Manager in support of inventory goals and objectives. Adhere to all Center, department and inventory management protocols for proper procurement of inventory/transfer of ownership to the adoptions department. Support the Inventory Manager in defining and implementing new and existing strategies to increase the number of intake and transfer partners, and increase the number of animals that meet our medical and behavioral intake standards. Assist Inventory Manager in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all partners. Create and maintain complex database and Excel reports, analyzing relevant statistics to provide requested inventory related reports for management. Assist Inventory Manager in procuring new partnerships with Rescue organizations and Shelters. Assist in scheduling on-site and off-site intakes, and coordinating intake requirements with foster, kennels and exam room. Assist in following up on intake partner medical issues as required. Work positively with other members of the team to accomplish department goals. Provide atmosphere of stability and support for others, and develop meaningful morale programs. Follow safety and sanitation policies throughout facility in order to maintain Center standards of excellence. Participate in Center activities and events as required. Complete other assignments as required. Represent Center standards of professionalism. Assignments may be modified as needed at any time.

College degree and/or equivalent experience desirable. Proven animal behavior, animal handling experience and canine and feline breed knowledge is a plus. Ability to safely lift 50lbs. unassisted. Must be able to work closely with animal dander. Exceptional organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills required. Computer literate is a MUST. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with many different personalities. Able to be tactful and handle delicate issues.

Employee must demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

As this position requires occasional driving duties, employee must possess a valid Driver's License. Employee must complete a Driver Information Form and provide a recent DMV Driving Record Report to be kept on file, as well as proof of insurance.
